OSHA recently announced that it issued a new copy of its "Job Safety and Health - It's The Law!" poster in order to inform employers of safety responsibilities and workers of their workplace rights. According to an OSHA representative, the free poster is designed to promote injury prevention by giving employees a voice on the safety conditions of their workplace.
The poster covers a wide range of information, including workers’ right to ask for an OSHA inspection, report an occupational injury, receive safety training, and raise safety concerns without retaliation from an employer. Additionally, the updated poster informs employers about new reporting regulations and OSHA-compliant training requirements.
In the organization’s 44-year history, it has issued several versions of the “It’s the Law” poster, and the last copy was released in 2007.
